It’s not uncommon for uPVC window frames or windowsills to get rust patches or rust spots over time. This is usually caused by metal objects being left on the sills, with rust patches appearing in no time at all.
Rust on uPVC is one of the toughest stains to remove with many cleaning products having little or no impact. The image illustrates our uPVC restoration which breathes new life into frames and sills which are showing signs of aging.
If you’re having difficulty removing rust patches from uPVC frames and sills, then why not contact us at Bridgend Window Cleaning and ask about our restoration services.

We frequently get called out to clear people’s gutters and unblock downpipes, particularly as we approach the autumn months.
Today we worked on a detached property where, over time, all four downpipes had become blocked by moss, dirt and plants which had accumulated at the base of each downpipe. The result was that rainwater had built up and filled not only the downpipes but the guttering as well. And every time it rained the gutters would overflow.
The customer asked us to help and so we took apart each downpipe, cleaning them out and reassembling them, whilst also clearing all guttering around the house. Enough moss was cleared to fill a bin bag. Using a garden hose, we then ran water through all the guttering and downpipes to ensure they were flowing freely with no blockages or leaks.
All fixed within only a couple of hours leaving one very satisfied customer.

We often encounter windows and frames that are covered in algae, lichen and dirt which looks like it’s grafted on.
This image is from a recent clean that we completed on windows which had been neglected for years. And it really was years since they had been cleaned last.
After applying a strong but non-hazardous detergent, which was allowed to rest on the window, frames and sills for 5 minutes, we used a water-fed pole, a soft bristle brush and elbow grease to scrub all the surfaces clean.
The owners were delighted and couldn’t believe they were looking at the same windows.

It’s been a beautiful summers day today and would you believe we have been cleaning on the sets at Dragon Film Studios where a new TV series is being filmed for a major US TV network.
Unfortunately, due to confidentiality agreements which have been signed we are unable to share what is being filmed there or any pictures from our time on set but we are absolutely thrilled to have been involved knowing that windows cleaned by Bridgend Window Cleaning will be seen on our TV screens in the near future.
